2. Nick Wilson
Though Nick didn’t do much work in creating the merge alliance, it doesn’t matter; Nick has done the majority of leg work in the pre-merge to set himself up for a spot sitting pretty at the merge without having to bust his butt. He has two named alliances under his belt, he’s high up with the Davids and he’s not overtly making tough moves or playing flashy.
Basically, Nick has set himself up a network of threats and targets to shield him en route to a potential victory. Christian’s name is already getting thrown out as a potential target, Alec’s making too much noise, Gabby’s Tribal Council performance might put her on blast, Alison can be deemed a challenge threat now, John is a challenge threat; there are so many people Nick is shielded by to worry.
One thing that may undercut Nick’s long-term winning chances is how little he’s been able to become the priority of his duo alliances. Christian still considers Gabby his number one in the game, and Mike was shown to be more adaptable and open to play with Alec than to keep the Rockstars rocking out at the merge.
It may be setting us up for a Nick Wilson downfall, but right now he’s sitting back in the middle of a bunch of dynamic players, waiting for the pieces to fall where they may.
