Best Survivor Winners No. 31: Ethan Zohn (Survivor Africa)

You want to talk about the differences between Survivor now, and during season 3, you look no further than Ethan Zohn.

He may be the purest, wholesome, and genuinely great people to ever play this game, overcoming cancer multiple times and dedicating his life to charitable causes and inspiring others as a motivational speaker.

Long before then, he was a great guy playing in the season where the mindset of players was against the “villainy” of characters going back on alliances and for playing with integrity, greatness, and pleasantry.

Ethan happened to be agreeable with Kim Johnson, who showed surprise prowess late in the game and broke up the other players who were up against her. She chose him to sit beside her at the final tribal, and that was a poor mistake.

Ethan played the best version of Survivor possible at the time, excluding individual immunity challenge performance. That type of game may be archaic now, but it’s valid.
