As a preview for Survivor: Game Changers, we already know what the first Immunity Challenge of the season will look like

With Survivor: Game Changers less than two weeks away from premiering, fans are seemingly blessed with new details about the 34th season of the show every day. From the cast to the tribe alignments to even one of the early twists in the game, there’s still plenty left to be told, but a good foundation for fans to have going into the season in terms of expectations.

However, we may now have the most fun detail of Survivor: Game Changers to date. Several groups of television writers and reporters (from XFinity, Entertainment Tonight, ET Canada, Parade, to name a few) were given behind the scenes access to Season 34, which is not uncommon. One part of that access was that these groups were able to participate in the first Immunity Challenge of Game Changers. Even better, they were also able to reveal what the challenge is going to be and what it entails.

Gordon Holmes of XFinity TV was one of the lucky participants in the behind-the-scenes look at the first challenge and detailed what it’s going to look like, complete with photos that you can see in his in-depth breakdown.

The gist of the first Immunity Challenge is that it’s a combined physical challenge and puzzle challenge, something Survivor has been quite fond of in recent seasons. There are keys that must be retrieved by boat, swimming back to shore, digging for puzzle pieces (sorry, Caleb Reynolds), unlocking more pieces from a chest, and then building a ship’s wheel with the pieces.

Yes, there’s a lot going on there and, as stated, you can get a better picture of what’s happening exactly from Holmes’ account of participating in the challenge, though his version was slightly altered.

Next: Ozzy Lusth's Game Plan for Survivor: Game Changers

Looking at each tribe, it’s not hard to imagine Ozzy Lusth for Nuku and Malcolm Freberg from Mana dueling out the individual swimming portion to retrieve the keys. We can also assume that Caleb will not be doing much digging considering that’s what got him evacuated due to heat exhaustion in Kaoh Rong. Other than that, we should see quite quickly that Game Changers doesn’t have many players you can call weak in challenges. Thus, we’ll go ahead and call this an even playing field coming into the first Immunity Challenge of the new season.
