If the newest preview for Survivor: Game Changers is to be believed, get ready for an intense season of gameplay.
With a season called Survivor: Game Changers, the implication immediately is that it’s going to be unlike any previous season of the show. Though the level of “game-changing” each returning castaway partook in when they played previously is up for debate, these are veterans and some of the best and most polarizing players are back again.
However, the great unknown of Survivor: Game Changers is how these veterans are going to mesh. In terms of alliances, feuds and so on, it’s all seemingly up in the air heading into season 34. There’s even a chance that everyone ultimately plays themselves into a stalemate and that the potential action in store could simply be fool’s gold for pre-season fodder.
If the latest preview for Game Changers is to be believed, though, that certainly won’t be the case.
On Thursday, the official Survivor YouTube channel uploaded a promo clip with the title “The Stakes Have Been Raised.” Though just 30 seconds long, the editors and producers definitely make it seem like that’s the case. What’s more, they make Survivor: Game Changers seem to be one of the most intense seasons yet:
Editors are great at pulling clips to create whatever narrative they want for a preview. We all know this and that could certainly be all that there is to take from this clip.
However, one of the prevalent themes throughout pre-season interviews and in the 30-second teaser is the notion of making big moves. It’s what cost some of these castaways the chance at win in their other times playing and what allowed others to become the Sole Survivor. And when everyone is trying to make big moves, things are going to get messy.
