Debbie Wanner’s Survivor Game Changers Episode 5 Challenge Video Extravaganva
Whether she was failing spectacularly or calling out her fellow tribemates, the Survivor Game Changers episode 5 challenge videos highlight Debbie Wanner.
Spoilers for Survivor Game Changers Episode 5, “Dirty Deed.”
If days 12 and 13 have made anything clear, it’s that Debbie Wanner has gone a bit off the deep end. Yes, she’s known to be a bit zany and embody parts of the one-upmanship traits that made Coach semi-lovable, but if the Survivor Game Changers episode 5 challenge videos show anything, it’s that Debbie believes she hasn’t been heard in the tribe. Now she’s going to awkwardly force her way into the conversation.
The reward challenge, named “Unchained Medley,” saw one player hook balancing objects, other players balance balls on beams with increasingly difficult structures, one player dig in the sand for more bags and a final person solve a slide puzzle. Debbie said “I have a really good sense of balance,” so Brad assigned her to do the balance beams.
Of course, we all know how that ended up.
Tavua got out to an early lead, one they’ve grown accustomed to in Survivor Game Changers. Yet, by the time Sierra snagged the second bag and Tai dug up the second ball, Mana was in the lead over Tavua and Nuku heading into the balance section with the ball and paddle. Debbie was placed in a position where a smooth run could have won them peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cookies and milk.

Debbie took so long through the first section of the balancing act that on Nuku, J.T. finished the second portion of the balancing act, Varner hooked a bag, Michaela dug up the ball, and Aubry got to the second portion of the balancing act at the time Debbie had just one try on the second half. Meanwhile, Tavua had surpassed both tribes handily as Zeke was deep into the slide puzzle.
Tavua won the primary reward, as Nuku came second just while Debbie finally finished her balancing section. Debbie, instead of owning up to her failure, blames the Brad dictatorship as the editors invoke their first-ever flashback to call her out for her misremembering of the basic facts. The notion that production is throwing shade at players with the edit is magical, and something I would love to see more.
By the time the immunity challenge for Survivor Game Changers episode 5 rolls along, named “Box Car Blues,” Debbie has already exploded back at camp to the delight of everyone on the internet. So as the rules are explained for this challenge, she’s managed to force her way onto this challenge’s balancing portion, then talked herself out of it as she makes “her own decisions.”

Despite her self-proclaimed ten years experience as a gymnast, she may have the most acrobatic experience at running her mouth. As Nuku, Tavua and Mana are all climbing the first wall, she’s yelling about how she was the first one down and calling Brad out as others focus on the challenge.
As Tai falls a few times on the balancing portion, instead of being supportive, Debbie calls out the tribe and says she’s sick of having to defend herself. You know, despite nobody actively antagonizing her during the challenge. Mana wasn’t even the last to get their sandbags across this portion, meaning they had as solid a chance as any other team.
Indeed, Sierra and Brad knocked down their targets first and led Mana to victory as the first tribe to reach immunity. It was a lot closer between Tavua and Nuku, but Ozzy nailed J.T.’s coffin with a final strike with one target left as Tavua won the second place immunity idol.

With a tribe swap, exile island and a returning Survivor player visiting the game, Survivor Game Changers episode 6 challenges likely won’t be as Debbie-centric as they were this week. Thank the stars for that!
