Survivor ratings: Survivor Game Changers episode 13 shines bright
Once again, the Survivor ratings for the penultimate episode of Survivor Game Changers shows a commanding lead over everything not named Empire.
With CBS confirming that Survivor Season 35 will air in the usual Wednesday evening time slot of 8 p.m. ET this Fall, the network solidified its trust in the week’s most-viewed programs. The Survivor ratings have been solid all season long for Survivor Game Changers, and this double boot episode is no exception.
The Live + Same Day numbers for Wednesday evening broadcast television are in, with TV By The Numbers reporting the strong Survivor ratings of 1.7 over a 7 share for adults between 18 to 49 years of age. This represented 8.27 million viewers watching on as the sixth and seventh members of the jury were eliminated over the course of three days’ worth of gameplay.
The 1.7/7 split has been a standard for the Survivor ratings all season, with that result coming up seven out of the eleven weeks that Survivor Game Changers has been on the air. There’s been a fewer than 30,000-person viewership difference in the past three weeks, too, with 8.3 million people aged 18-49 watching last week and 8.26 million people watching two weeks ago.

Per usual, the Survivor ratings were higher than anything else on television Wednesday night, with the exception of a 2.2/8 enjoyed by Empire. Survivor remains the most-viewed program of the night by a longshot, with Chicago PD’s 6.5 million viewers for the season finale coming in second place. Modern Family finished in third place with 6.2 million people watching that program’s season finale, as well.
Needless to say, the state of Survivor ratings proves just how much a beast the show is after almost 17 full years’ worth of reality competition. The twists may have been a bit too twisty this season, but these players have shown enough determination to keep viewers interested in this game.
