Watch the Survivor Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers opening credits online
You won’t be able to see it at the beginning of tonight’s broadcast, so watch the Survivor Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers opening credits here.
One of the biggest shames that comes out of Survivor fandom as years go by is that some of the more innocuous traditions fall by the wayside. I used to get chills at the beginning of every season watching the cast get introduced one by one, and any season that tailored the credits to the number of players remaining in the game showed self-awareness. Survivor Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers‘ opening credits will not make it to air, but they are available online.
Entertainment Weekly, once again, are hosting the opening credits online this year, showcasing a very percussive alteration of the standard Survivor theme. There are a lot more thrashing drum beats on various types of percussive instruments, in addition to almost shanty-like string instrument backings.
Before we get into the introduction of the Survivor Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers opening credits’ player breakdown, let’s look at what this season may hint at. The opening visuals always create allegories based on what we see (sharks were a big thing in Game Changers), and this year’s credits show birds in flight, crashing waves, a school of fish, a pirate ship, a huge bat, an unsettling siren while sharpening a blade, that huge bat again, the stars on a night sky and the season’s logo.

There’s not much to pontificate just yet, but there are some interesting clues when looking at the players. Joe from the Healers tribe is the first player to get an audible yelling sound effect, possibly hinting at his intensity as a player. He is the one to call out Dr. Mike in Hollywood Reporter’s clip from tonight’s episode, showing he’s not afraid to call it how he sees it.
