Survivor season 35: Episode 2’s preview seems to carry some storylines

In just 30 seconds, Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers manages to establish the continuation of some things we saw in the premiere.

The point of a preview is always to get people intrigued enough to watch the next episode. In the case of Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers‘ second episode, it seems the point is to hype up the escalation of two concepts or stories that dominated the premiere: couples and hidden immunity idols.

But this time, the idols might actually be seen (and we’re not just talking about Chrissy’s now not-so-super idol).

Not all couples are romantic, but one of the two we see appears to be heading that way — Cole and Jessica. Meanwhile, there’s another shot of Chrissy and Ben together. Both also appeared in the preview that aired after the premiere.

The preview also seems to imply that we’ll see Joe find a clue for the idol, but it’s important to note that while he’s talking and the next shot also shows him looking for the idol, the clue itself is not shown to be found by anyone. It’s yellow, so we know it’s for the Healers, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Joe finds it.

Perhaps most interesting is that the Cole and Jessica snippets finally appear to explain that box-like structure shown in the photos for the episode. It looks like Cole’s sitting in a fishing boat — and it’s not the tribal canoe, because that’s a bright yellow. Could that imply that the Healers (and Hustlers, who also have a fishing spear in the photos that I commented on) win reward yet again, leaving the Heroes out in the cold?

When analyzing the photos, I also noted it seems like reward will go hand in hand with immunity yet again. That would also go to explaining why Ben and Chrissy are shown planning together, since they might be headed to Tribal Council.
