Just a day after the Hustlers tribe voted out Simone, the Survivor season 35 episode 3 sneak peek shows the vultures picking at the scraps.

Just because you’ve been voted out, doesn’t mean you can’t have a lasting impact on the remaining players. That seems to be what the Survivor season 35 episode 3 sneak peek insists, as it shows the Hustlers tribe reacting to the unanimous elimination of their recently-departed tribemate; by rummaging through her remaining belongings to claim for them own.

It’s certainly not the greatest look for the Hustlers tribe, even though it’s meant to be played off as casual comedy. If there was any doubt that Ryan Ulrich is a production pet this season, look to the two confessionals given to him in this preview alone. Here, he talks about Simone Nguyen leaving a veritable garage sale’s worth of clothing, including a blazer, pants and knee-high boots.

While everyone seems to be laughing it up as the slender Ryan looks minuscule in women’s clothing, the commentary in this Survivor season 35 episode 3 sneak peek digs a little bit deeper than even Jeff Probst would request of his competitors in an endurance challenge. We can all laugh about a Miami Vice look and the practicality of using long boots when you’re out searching for idols, but then it is capped off with one comment; “Finally, Simone is showing her worth in some capacity.”

We know that Ryan didn’t like Simone, going so far as to call her weird right before she cut her first confessional of Survivor Heroes vs. Healers vs. Huslters. What doesn’t make total sense is the continued punching down of someone who was just eliminated from the game. There’s no need to make such a cocky statement, even in a confessional when no other contestant can hear you. It could be a hint about an underlying tone he may portray going forward.
