A free-spirited player who wanted the million-dollar prize so she could buy a $2,000 jet ski, Jenn Brown from Survivor Worlds Apart turns 26 today.

Player: Jenn Brown
Occupation: Sailing Instructor
Hometown: Long Beach, CA
Season: Survivor Worlds Apart
Tribes: Nagarote (Red Buff), Merica (Black Buff)
Finished: 9/18

For what it’s worth, there’s a dark cloud surrounding Survivor Worlds Apart. There’s a reason players call themselves the Dirty 30 on Twitter, as there was a substantial amount of negativity surrounding the players of that season. That doesn’t mean everyone was down in the dumps, as Jenn Brown of the No Collar tribe proved that you can still have fun (until a certain point) while playing a game for a million dollars.

Almost immediately, the producers would use Jenn’s pointed confessionals as a means to tell the tribe’s story, as not only did she fill viewers into the craziness of characters like Vince and Nina, but managed to have an undercut of negativity without being too personal. Like, you knew she was smack-talking people as a means of dealing with their shenanigans, making sure to do so away from them in order to stay in the game.

People have an odd recollection of Jenn Brown in Survivor Worlds Apart. Sure, she may not have wanted to be out there after her friend Hali Ford left the game, but she wasn’t a slouch before then. The best example of her Survivor play came at the merge, where she voided seven votes against her with a Hidden Immunity Idol while voting out Kelly in the process. Only one player has voided more votes against them in a single idol play, being Kelley Wentworth in Cambodia with nine votes voided.

The youngest woman to find a Hidden Immunity Idol and the record-holder for most votes against a newbie and a player voted out only once, Jenn Brown certainly has one of the weirdest Survivor resumes. I’d certainly like to see her play again, perhaps in a fan vote a la Second Chances.
