Tyler Perry

There’s no doubt that Tyler Perry is a Survivor fan. Dedicated followers of the show will remember that it was his suggestion to Jeff Probst for a Super Idol in Cagayan that could only be played on the holder of the idol, something that would help Tony Vlachos work his way to the Final Three that season (and, with a quick lie and an absolutely terrible decision from Woo, lead to his victory).

The ability to fundamentally change the series of events in this show may be enough to suggest he’s a big enough fan to drop some of his commitments and play Celebrity Survivor for a two-three week period. He’s a very capable person that would bring strength and confidence as a tribe leader, as he has a very commanding side of himself that comes through in his roles and his personality.

The biggest challenge facing Tyler Perry would be his real-life standing as an entertainment figure. Not only does he produce successful dramas for the Oprah Winfrey Network, but he’s reportedly worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Seeing how it would be near impossible for someone else of that wealth to appear, he could be targeted early a la winners in Survivor All-Stars.
