Survivor Ghost Island premiere episode title, synopsis revealed

A hint from Jeff Probst has been hidden right under our nose, as Survivor Ghost Island’s premiere episode title and synopsis have been announced.

Even though we are tantalizingly closeto the premiere ofSurvivor Ghost Island,that doesn’t mean CBS hasn’t been ramping up promotion for the upcoming season. In addition to a series of interviews offered up to various press outlets, we now know the name of theSurvivor Ghost Islandpremiere episode, as well as a hint of what’s in store.

On theCBS Entertainment press website, CBS has laid out the primetime schedule for the week starting Monday, February 26, and it shows what we already know about the premiere ofSurvivor Ghost Island;it will be a two-hour premiere starting Wednesday, February 28 at 8 p.m. ET. However, we also learned that the name of the first two episodes (joined into one two-hour block) is “Can You Reverse the Curse?”

Here is the full synopsis for theSurvivor Ghost Islandpremiere:

"“Can You Reverse the Curse?” – A group of new Survivors attempt to “reverse the curse” of bad past game decisions. Also, one castaway will be the first to visit Ghost Island, and panic sets in at the first tribal council of the season, on the two-hour season premiere of SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Feb. 28 (8:00-10:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network."

A refrain Jeff Probst has been repeating in his preseason interviews is that this season’s theme is all about reversing the curse of past contestants’ mistakes. He’s even said the words “can you reverse the curse” a few times, but little did we know that would be the name of the very first episode.

More importantly, in addition to re-confirming the idea thatGhost Island is a new twist on Exile Island, we get teased about “panic” at the first tribal council of the season. With 10 players of 20 likely making their way to Tribal first, what could possibly happen to spread panic? A few options include a Hidden Immunity Idol, an advantage from Ghost Island or possibly even a tie vote scenario.
