CBS’ marketing team has no intention to hide spoilers, as evidenced by the Survivor Ghost Island episode 3 promo. Watch out for those buffs!
Warning: This post will discuss the content provided from the official CBS Survivor Ghost Island episode 3 promo commercial, even though it contains spoilers.
Jeez, there’s been no shortage of Survivor spoilers this season! The official sneak peek into the first four minutes of Ghost Island contained a slo-mo montage of players, including two that will officially be swapped onto the other tribe as early as the upcoming episode. Now the Survivor Ghost Island episode 3 promo shows off even more players switching things up with another tribe.
The preview for “Only Time Will Tell” jumps right into spoiler territory three seconds in, with Sebastian Noel talking about how he’s a “happy, giggly, piece of Laffy Taffy” (with audio likely pieced together from several sources). He’s wearing a Malolo buff during that confessional, meaning he’s officially swapped over from Naviti.

Later during the promo, we are teased about a “darker twist” emerging from Ghost Island, with a montage of players including Desiree wearing a Malolo buff, Donathan wearing a Naviti buff, Chelsea wearing a Malolo buff (previously spoiled), Morgan and Wendell wearing their original Naviti buffs in a new, dejected shot of them leaving a challenge with a loss, Domenick wearing a Naviti buff in a hammock (possibly a shot before the swap) and more.
The most spoilerific shot from this promo is a look at Brendan and Michael, both wearing Malolo buffs, hunched down low, while Brendan reads something offscreen; “The only question is ‘can you reverse the curse?'” It’s clear that they’ve found some sort of idol or advantage of historic importance near their camp, giving them a leg up going forward.

There are still some mysteries surrounding the swap that haven’t been officially confirmed with 18 players remaining in the game, but you can find some intriguing ideas if you follow certain former winners of the show on Twitter. For now, let’s leave some suspense intact for Survivor Ghost Island episode 3, “Only Time Will Tell,” airing on Wednesday, March 7 at 8 p.m. ET.
