This is it; the “we game” becomes the “me game” in the Survivor Ghost Island merge episode, with this week’s sneak peek bringing us the convergence.
There has been so much talk about the merge this week, and for a good reason; Survivor Ghost Island, in part, can be defined by its halves. Rare is the season where the pre-merge and post-merge games are equally entertaining, and sometimes it’s the culmination of all the hotshot players competing for survival and supremacy that brings about dynamic gameplay.
That’s what makes the merge so exciting this week; we’re finally getting to see these players (some of whom were strictly “Naviti Strong”) start to play the game with more personal interests at heart. Alliances become crucial, voting blocs may be formed, and a myriad of idols and advantages may start to be played (as opposed to being held for an Advantagegedon).
Just hours before the Survivor Ghost Island merge episode airs later tonight, CBS has uploaded a brief sneak peek at the merge moment as it happens, providing various takes from power players such as Domenick and Michael. From an editing perspective, seeing these two characters get confessionals bodes well for their longevity, but of course, there are 41 other minutes of gameplay to observe tonight.

There’s a lot to digest here. First off, Domenick is leading the charge in greeting the Survivor Ghost Island merge players, talking about who he is/isn’t glad to see. He’s seen at the boats getting close to Wendell and Kellyn, while Chris is glad to see Angela and Desiree. Meanwhile, Michael regards the merge as Christmas morning for him, especially as the youngest to ever play the game and he has an idol.

Will Chris or Domenick go home tonight? Can they come to terms for a ceasefire for a vote to keep Naviti strong? Will Donathan be a deciding factor? Will an idol be played? These questions and more will be answered tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
