4. Laurel Johnson

She may be the most powerful player on Malolo in the game.

Laurel’s not only tight with Wendell, Domenick and Donathan (a strong voting contingent in its own right), but she’s also been playing a strong social game with everyone. She’s having important conversations with most everyone in the game while not drawing attention to herself about how much of a social player she actually is.

More importantly, she’s been voting strategically against her own original Malolo alliance in a way befitting her long-term plans. Unlike Michael, she’s secured a spot in an alliance with the potential to go deep in the game. He’s gone against his own tribe members in keeping safe through to the merge, but she’s got the stock to make decisions while not aggravating anyone.

Her pre-merge edit is particularly shallow, but these next few episodes could be her coming out party in terms of visible game moves.
