Eight castaways get official recognition in a Survivor: David vs. Goliath preview, including three people with varying levels of fame.
Due to the fact that Survivor will be staying in Fiji for the foreseeable future (until the end of time, whatever comes first), it will become harder for production for differentiating each of the seasons without overarching twists or themes. One option to complement the variety includes casting basics, with stunt casting boosting the level of player awareness to those competing in Survivor: David vs. Goliath.
The Hollywood Reporter has taken a look at eight confirmed players, including talking to two of the biggest names in the game; John Hennigan and Mike White. Both of them will play on the Goliath tribe, and Mike will even go as far as to reveal who he is. Considering he’s already been on The Amazing Race, as well as star in films and produce television, it makes sense not to hide things.
Still, being a known commodity before the show starts will likely put pro wrestler John Hennigan and Mike White at a disadvantage, especially considering they will be competing with Angelina Keeley, Natalie Cole and Dan Rengering on the Goliath tribe. The latter is the last known commodity on Survivor: David vs. Goliath, as he was reported before the season began as one of the Florida Hot Cops.
THR also talks to robotics researcher Christian Hubicki, technical writer Gabby Pascuzzi and public defender Nick Wilson, all of which will comprise players on the David tribe. They each have a varying level of superfandom concerning the show, which will hopefully make for a more dynamic season that levels the playing field between the tribes.

The privileged versus the have-nots of the Davids will certainly harken back to the very first Survivor season in Fiji, but this time separating the meek with the successful and grandiose. Too bad we’ll have to wait a few months before knowing the rest of the David vs. Goliath cast!
