The latest person voted out after Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 3 is dropping a little bit of napalm themselves in exit interviews.

There’s nothing more people want to avoid than to look stupid. This is especially indicative of people in accomplished fields, as leaving space for doubt is a surefire way to adopt an impostor syndrome. This is my opinion of Jeremy Crawford’s entire nonsense spilling out of his exit interviews, as he appears to be rather inclined in creating rumors about his Survivor: David vs. Goliath castaways than to be tricked at Tribal Council.

The first indication of his tomfoolery came with his Entertainment Weekly exit interview, reading from a prepared statement as to avoid slander accusations. He is a lawyer, after all, as he goes on a long-winded explanation that Angelina wanted to vote him out because she was apparently in a one-sided showmance with John Hennigan and she didn’t like him joking about them being in a showmance.

He doesn’t offer any definitive answers, but he alleges Angelina went to others about Jeremy trying to embarrass her on television as a newlywed, although conveniently off-camera while telling people not to mention it on camera. All over supposed cuddling at night that hasn’t been mentioned by anyone or shown on television.

It was also discussed in Jeremy Crawford’s Xfinity exit interview, saying that an unnamed somebody came up to him the morning of the Day 9 Immunity Challenge and warned him that Angelina was made at him for joking, “If they catch this on camera, Angelina’s going to be in trouble.” Earlier in the EW interview, though, he mentioned “nobody came and told me” that he was the vote target, though.

Finally, when asked if he talked to Angelina after the game to hash things out and he said no. This means that Angelina and Jeremy never met at Ponderosa, which means she makes it to the jury phase. He did say in First One Out how much of a problem he had at pre-game Ponderosa, so the only other possibility is that he left early and she came in afterward.

No matter how you slice it, to allege there was a once-sided showmance in the media in a situation where neither player can publicly rebut it due to Survivor’s non-disclosure agreements is an egregious, underhanded, classless move. Take the L and move on or have other people on the tribe provide receipts to back it up. Angelina already denied this, but it shouldn’t have come to this point at all.
