Survivor: David vs. Goliath – Winners and losers after the tribe swap
We have new tribes on Survivor: David vs. Goliath! Which castaways are in a better position now, and which ones are on the chopping block?
The tribe swap revealed a painful realization for the David members; that they have their backs against the wall yet again. However, with Alec blindsiding former Goliath allies, the original tribal lines are beginning to blur. Even though some David members may be outnumbered, their social game and situation in the tribe may have even improved since the last episode. Here we breakdown five winners and losers following Survivor: David vs. Goliath’s first tribe swap of the season.
5) Winner: Christian Hubicki
Despite him being on a tribe with only one other David member, Christian continued to show us his great social game. Within no time, he was able to build a relationship with the Goliath members, especially with John and Dan. On top of that, Christian and Gabby make a solid pair, giving them a two vote swing.
For now, Christian’s place in the game appears to be solid. Plus, his new tribe has a significant advantage when it comes to challenges, so the longer he avoids Tribal Council, the better chance he has of swinging some of the Goliath members over to his side.
5) Loser: Alison Raybould
Alison is part of the stacked Tiva tribe which includes Christian. So how did her position get worse? The tribe swap offered an opportunity for Alison to finally build strong relationships and form alliances. However, we haven’t seen much of Alison since the first episode, and that didn’t change with the tribe swap either.
The edit focused on Gabby and Christian’s relationship, as well as Christian getting along with Dan and John. This leaves out Alison. Her lack of confessionals and airtime is a little scary and may be revealing to us her inability to click with her tribe members. Hopefully we’ll see more of her in the next episode, but for now, her lack of social relationships is not a good sign.
