4. Dan Rengering

It’s hard to think of Dan as not one of the top positions in our Survivor: David vs. Goliath merge power rankings, but he might have too much power going to his head. He’s solidified himself front and center as one of the players to watch, and the other 12 players on his merge tribe are certainly taking notice.

First, he made it so obvious that he and Kara were in a one-sided showmance, and it seemed like he didn’t care that much in keeping it on the down low. Now in the press episodes for this merge episode, he’s laying in hammocks with her sitting inside (not cuddling, but still) and laughing it up while making the shelter.

Not only that, but he’s making it so obvious with his Brochachos alliance that he’s working with John and Christian. Having two Hidden Immunity Idols may seem like he’s walking on water with his overpowered status, but there’s still an unseen power set to take him out. With the Idol Nullifier out there, all it takes is for Carl to use it against him to ensure he goes home.

Sure, Dan could possibly bring two idols to tribal to ensure safety, but that kind of foresight isn’t in Dan’s nature, and it forces him to look very powerful very early into the individual game.
