What a strange and wonderful pre-merge phase we’ve seen onSurvivor: David vs. Goliath. With its unpredictability, fun characters, great gameplay and shocking blindsides, it remainsone of the best first-halves the show has seen, and perhaps the best sinceHeroes vs. Villains.
For what it’s worth, it seems as though the merge is about to be just as exciting for all of its 13 remaining players. It’s a time where the season’s biggest players vie to makebig moveswhile struggling not to make toobigofmovesto avoid getting a target on their back. It seems as though Alec Merlino will make a step forwardif the merge promo is to be believed.
There are a few key players to watch for at theSurvivor: David vs. Goliathmerge. Nick Wilson is in a good position to work with both Davids and Goliath while not being the biggest target of the Davids. That much cannot be said of Christian, who’s loved by all and might have that play against him. Kara’s partially stuck in a showmance but has the chance to shine here.
One of the underrated stars of theSurvivor: David vs. Goliathmerge is the bright blue aqua/cyan buffs. You can see them in more detailin the press photos for the episode, as the titular “There’s Gonna Be Tears Shed” won’t be as blue as those excellent buffs. Seriously, it makes you shake your head at all the shades of black merge buffs we’ve seen in recent seasons.
