Williamsburg, Kentucky is home to just over 5,000 people, according toWikipedia. Judging by the list of notable people, Nick Wilson fromSurvivor: David vs. Goliathis perhaps the city’s most famous export, as his impeccable victory run through the game was witnessed by millions of people both on television and online.
Considering how he kept things as Kentucky proud as possible, it only made sense for his hometown to return the favor. As reported by CBS affiliateWKYT, the mayor of Williamsburg honored theSurvivorwinner by declaring today, January 16, 2019, the official Nick Wilson Day in the city.
In addition to the prestigious honor, Nick also received a key to the city. Finally, the city reportedly hopes to put up indicators that Williamsburg, KY is the home of Nick Wilson on signs entering the city. Whatever makes you affiliate the city with one of 36 winners ofSurvivor(Sandra won twice), Williamsburg is doing it.
