The Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 8 promo shows the masterminds, the insurgency, the defector, and the tease of the fallen in next week’s show.

This post will include the Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 8 commercial that includes snippets of what happens next week.

At the end of Survivor: Edge of Extinction this week, we saw a “Next Time On …” preview hint at Ron Clark saying, “I’m the Puppet Master;” the title of the next episode. It teased the immediate hubris of a player who had just visited their first Tribal Council; being cocky and lording power over others is the key to getting yourself noticed.

That notion becomes the focus of the Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 8 promo commercial, as David Wright notes Ron and Eric are running the Kama six and need to be taken out in order to regain control of this game. It doesn’t help the Kama seven’s case that they keep saying “Kama strong” as a rallying cry since that’s a surefire way to lose support from the audience at home!

The problem with this plan is that Rick Devens just received votes at the most recent Tribal Council and is not taking it lightly. He tells Wardog that his side “tried to vote him out twice,” which is just not true; Aurora and Joe voted for Rick as members of old Kama. Sure, Lauren, Kelley and Wardog voted for David at the merge and Rick is on David’s side, but going against your own minority alliance doesn’t make sense when David wants to work with them to take out those in power.

All that strategic talk and social play will fall to the wayside for one player, as Jeff Probst calls medical in during the Immunity Challenge as Dr. Joe tries to get a response from a fallen player. Will this be like when Joe passed out during a challenge in Cambodia and wasn’t medically evacuated, or will this be serious enough to send a player out of this game?
