Ron Clark opened up about his Survivor: Edge of Extinction experience in a Reddit AMA that saw him talking about his vulnerability, editing fixes and more.

I love how much the Survivor community will reveal about their gameplay (and the gameplay of others) after their season has aired. Podcasts have become an invaluable resource especially when it comes to the Edge of Extinction, as there were no exit interviews until the May 15 finale thanks to the possibility of spoilers.

However, one thing I love about the Survivor Reddit AMAs is that there is a larger variety of questions asked by a larger intersection of voices. That’s what makes the Ron Clark AMA so fascinating; it’s a way to dig deep into the most pertinent questions that need to be answered.

For example, not only does he give his answer to the Final Six jury threats in his preference, but who he thinks would be the threats to win for the entire jury. He seems to tell it like it is, explaining that Joe is likely more confident than he is arrogant to others on the island, how Lauren’s edit was most different than what was displayed on the island (in his eyes), as well as the need to not continually showing the Edge of Extinction players on the island to save the season’s edit.

It shows that Ron Clark knows what’s best for watching Survivor, as he will even attest that his most vulnerable and eye-opening experience was when he was voted out. There was a surprising amount of things that you think would make the Edge of Extinction show but didn’t, including him getting stuck under a lean-to and Julie falling into fire corral and having 100 pieces stuck in her leg.

There’s a lot that didn’t work with Survivor: Edge of Extinction and the most unfortunate victims of the season’s problems were, arguably, the newbie players. The fact that Matthew Perry played Ron Clark in an actual movie yet we heard nothing about it on television shows just how much we missed with characters like Ron.
