Previous situation:

There was no one the outs more than Karishma on old Lairo. She simply didn’t have a close ally to turn to and was getting the heat for her poor performance in challenges. It’s true that players like Missy didn’t want to vote her out so they could use her as a number, but that put Karishma’s fate in other people’s hands. Playing without controlling your own destiny is a recipe for disaster in Survivor.

Current situation:

With this timely tribe swap, Karishma was only one of three Lairo members to take on five Vokai. That gave Karishma the perfect opportunity to jump on the Vokai train, and she took it! She was immediately comforted by the Vokai members and she finally felt able to share her feelings with them.

Could Vokai just be sucking up to her in order to get another number in their alliance? Possibly. Regardless of the motive, this is certainly an upgrade for Karishma. With her honest and desperate commitment to the five Vokai members, she might be able to weasel her way into a strong alliance.
