Survivor: Russell Hantz’s Top 100 Greatest Survivors Ever (40-31)
38. James Clement (China, Micronesia, Heroes vs Villains)
James Clement is one of those contestants who the more he returned, the more irritating he became. That being said, he was really entertaining on China and went home with not one, but TWO idols in his bag. D’oh!
In Micronesia, James was medically evacuated, but probably would not have made it much further anyway due to the Black Widow Brigade taking over that season. It was still a bummer that he got removed from the game due to injury though.
Heroes vs Villains was the final time we saw James and he was very grumpy that season, berating Stephenie and just overall being an unpleasant presence in the season. He was injured again and his tribe even opted to keep him over Tom, but then voted him out the next episode.
Despite all of that, James is still a legendary player and his one liners are still top notch to this day.
37. Mike Holloway (Worlds Apart)
Worlds Apart is generally perceived as a nasty season because it seemed like everyone hated everyone out there. Mike Holloway was no exception to that rule and was so unliked by his fellow castaways that he had to win five individual immunity challenges in order to make it to the end.
Were it not for that, Mike is a member of the jury because he had no allies at that stage in the game. He played an idol correctly along the way, but his biggest mistake was when he tried to not spend his auction money on loved ones letters to instead try to get an advantage. That made him very unpopular.
Mike was not a part of Winners at War, likely due to being the same archetype as a few other players already on that season, but hopefully we see him again someday.
