Worst Survivor Casts – Number 6: Redemption Island (Season 22)

Hey, yet another Dark Age season!

Even though Redemption Island is usually ranked at or near the bottom of everyone’s season rankings and even though the cast was bad, it did introduce us to some interesting characters and future returnees, such as Andrea and Phillip. Even first boot Francesca returned for a later season (which is still a head scratching decision).

Obviously most remember this being the season where Boston Rob and Russell Hantz returned for their fourth and third times respectively and production sure made it easy for Rob to coast to the end by gifting him with a group of followers.

This cast mostly consisted of boring people who didn’t know how to play the game and appeared just fine with handing Rob the win. The Ometepe alliance that made the merge wasn’t compelling at all and most played to get Rob his first ever Survivor victory while the Zapatera tribe was pretty bland as well.

Survivor really wanted to get Rob or Russell their first win and in order to do so, they gave us one of the worst casts ever assembled. I’m sure it was worth it in their eyes since Rob coasted to the end and won in a landslide. It was all a part of their evil plan.
