Well fans, Survivor season 41 is getting closer and closer. We already know that filming has begun for season 41 in Fiji, which is music to any Survivor fan’s ears, so now it’s time to think about what the next season will hold.

According to Inside Survivor, the latest from the rumor mill is that the season will cut down from the normal 39 days to just 29 days. If this rumor is true, this would be a major shift in the game and could lead to endless possibilities.

Due to the pandemic, the cast and crew had to be quarantined before filming was allowed to begin, meaning the cast and crew who flew into Fiji had to be quarantined for 14 days to make sure they did not have the virus or any symptoms.

Normally, it would then take roughly three days of filming, with one day being for immunity challenge, one day for reward challenges and one day for tribal council. So, it is understandable why the number of days would be cut by 10 or so, so what does this mean for the game and the Survivor fan.

What would a short season mean for Survivor season 41?

Survivor fans, I don’t know about you, but my mind is running rampant with so many different thoughts in terms of the actual game.

The first thing that comes to mind is if the number of days is cut from 39 to 29, could it be possible that there could be double even triple eliminations. A double or triple elimination would be an awesome twist to the game and certainly would be a historical Survivor event.

Now, here is another thought and one that is really mean and kind of cruel, but it would be such an awesome twist for Survivor fans to watch and witness. If the days are actually going to be cut from 39 to 29 days, let’s say after day six, perhaps the show could introduce an ultimate immunity challenge where its winner takes all and loser goes home.

In an epic event, never seen on Survivor, not just one person could go home, but an entire tribe could be sent home and then the winning tribe would have the game of Survivor all to themselves. That would so AWESOME!!!!.

I love Survivor and I love the game of Survivor. Unfortunately, the pandemic has made life a little challenging for the production crew of Survivor, so the safety of all those that are involved is first and foremost the most important thing.

In all the previous 40 seasons of Survivor, there is a little part of every Survivor fan that would like to have seen something different such as a new twist added to the game or a different challenge. I would have hated for them to mess up a good thing, so I am glad that didn’t go swinging for the fences in the past; however, now is the time to shake things up, swing for the fences and to try some new and perhaps more innovative things when it comes to the game we all know and love.

It has been a while since we had the “real” thing and we have been anxiously awaiting the return of Survivor and we are so looking forward to Survivor season 41 in Fiji. I hope they add some twists, that will forever change the way that Survivor is played.
