Since there have been many extremely compelling Survivor players, it makes sense that veterans of Jeff Probst's show have been showing up on other reality series. In recent years, Survivor veterans have popped up on shows like The Traitors, Big Brother, Deal or No Deal Island, The Amazing Race, Snake in the Grass, and The Challenge, among others.
While memorable Survivor vets like Michaela Bradshaw have shown up on The Challenge, it always is exciting when the popular MTV reality show welcomes more former competitors from CBS' series. There was interest from many loyal Survivor viewers when it was announced that Sydney Segal would be competing during the current season of The Challenge. Months after that casting choice was initially announced, it is much more exciting to see that three Survivor veterans are still in the running to win the season.
These three former Survivor players could win The Challenge: Vets & New Threats
As of the time of this writing, there are still eight The Challenge: Vets & New Threats competitors who could win the season. That group is broken down into two groups that are made up of four men and four women. Each of those two groups features former Survivor players, which is important to note since many seasons of The Challenge end with one woman and one man winning. That means that it is possible that The Challenge: Vets & New Threats could be won by two former Survivor players.
The male Survivor veteran who could still win The Challenge is Turabi "Turbo" Çamkıran. Before joining MTV's reality show franchise, Çamkıran put together one of the most impressive resumes in Survivor history. A veteran of the Turkish version of the franchise, Çamkıran won twice, during Survivor Türkiye 8 and Survivor Türkiye: All Star, before competing during another two seasons that he lost.
The female Survivor veterans who could still win The Challenge: Vets & New Threats are Sydney Segal and Michaela Bradshaw.
During Survivor 41, Segal came in 12th place after becoming the 7th player to be voted out, which resulted in her missing out on being part of the jury by one vote. While Segal's Survivor resume isn't as impressive as Çamkıran's, they both have lasted long enough to be real threats to win The Challenge.
Bradshaw, who also competed on The Challenge before and finished runner-up on The Challenge USA 2, is best known for competing on Survivor: Millenials vs. Gen X, where she was voted out seventh. In Survivor: Game Changers, on the other hand, Bradshaw almost made the Final Five. Instead, she was voted out on Day 35 and finished in seventh place.
Throughout The Challenge's history, MTV's hit reality show has welcomed many former Survivor winners.
Along with Bradshaw, Cassidy Clark, Chanelle Howell, Dee Valladares, Desi Williams, Michele Fitzgerald, Natalie Anderson, Sarah Lacina, Shan Smith, and Tasha Fox are The Challenge and Survivor vets. Ben Driebergen, Chris Underwood, Danny McCray, Domenick Abbate, Jay Starrett, Tommy Sheehan, and Tyson Apostol all also competed on The Challenge.
It should also be noted that Dee Valladares also competed on the current season, The Challenge: Vets & New Threats, but was eliminated during the 12th episode.
