3 players presumably safe for Survivor 47 episode 5

ROME COOMEY (LAVO)

When Genevieve made her big play, it solidified Rome's inexplicable hold over the Lavo tribe. While the audience gets plenty of evidence that he annoys fellow tribe mates, we've not seen much on the alliance between Rome and Genevieve. From her actions in episode 4, it must be more solid than even their fellow Lavo members thought it was.

Rome continues to play an aggressive, confident game. He's comfortable enough to threaten Sol, thinly disguised as an "ultimatum." He feels confident about his place in the game but is vulnerable. He's played both his idol and advantage, so he doesn't have any protection at the moment.

If Genevieve decides now is the time to eliminate Rome, she will find like-minded tribemates. Sol and Teeny would love to move on in the game without Rome, but this scenario just doesn't seem likely after episode four.

RACHEL LAMONT (GATA)

Rachel has been playing a quiet game this far, avoiding the spotlight and drama whenever possible. It is clearly her pre-merge strategy, and it seems to be working.

Depending on what Sierra does, she has an alliance with Anika, which could hurt her in the short term. If Sierra tires of Sam and his plan to keep Andy, she may decide to join the girls and take a position of power.

If Sierra keeps to her alliance with Sam, despite his insistence of dragging Andy along as a number, Anika is more likely the target than Rachel. While she hasn't been the most interesting player so far, look for Rachel to have an impact on the game if she can make it to the merge.

CAROLINE VIDMAR (TUKU)

There are just too many other possible targets on Tuku for Caroline to be that much of a threat to anyone yet. That doesn't mean she hasn't been playing the game; she has!

With Tiyana and Gabe seemingly clashing and her ally Sue taking on a more visible role in the alliance, Caroline has been able to sit back a little bit, similar to what Rachel is doing.

Caroline is another player who looks like will make the merge and could have a bigger impact on the game after the merge. It's a smart strategy, especially if she has some numbers at the merge.

All of this could be moot if Probst throws a big, tribe-changing twist into the game. Players and audiences alike will have to wait to see what he has up his Survivor sleeve!
