Another player with a hidden immunity idol gets voted out in Survivor 46 episode 11
By Bryce Olin
For the third straight week and fourth time in Survivor 46, a player was voted out with a hidden immunity idol in their pocket. While the season hasn't been great gameplay so far, it's truly impossible to comprehend that there have been four idols found on season 46 and not one -- NOT EVEN ONE -- has been played in the game so far. And, there's only one more vote where you can actually play an idol anyway.
In episode 11, Venus found a hidden immunity idol while everyone was looking. She kept it a secret (kind of!) after Maria, who is turning into quite the challenge beast, won immunity. Then, after an eventful tribal council, another epic blindside happened.
Who was voted out in Survivor 46 episode 11?
Venus Vafa was the 12th person voted out of Survivor 46. After finding a hidden immunity idol earlier in the episode, she was blindsided by Maria, Charlie, Liz, Q, and Kenzie in episode 11.
It appears the majority alliance, assuming that Venus would vote for Q, threw a vote on Kenzie to make sure Q didn't go home. That was an incredibly smart move in the event that Venus played the idol THAT SHE DID HAVE IN HER POCKET or she used her Shot in the Dark.
Venus is the third person to be eliminated with a hidden immunity idol in her pocket. Hunter McKnight was eliminated in episode 9, while Tiffany Nicole Ervin followed in episode 10.
For four straight votes, the person who got voted out thought Q was going home, but nope! He's still in the game, while those four people are on the jury. It's shocking!
Venus admits she shouldn't have told Charlie about her idol
Well, she didn't really tell him she had an idol, but she did like a wink-wink thing to try to win him over, and it actually pushed him away. As he shares with Ben, it's clear that Charlie was scared off from making any moves with Venus because she was too unpredictable in what she might do next.
Venus explained why she shouldn't have hinted that she had an idol to Charlie with Entertainment Weekly's Dalton Ross.
"With Charlie, we had had enough discussions up into that point where I thought maybe, just maybe, there's something there. There's like a base level of trust and he's someone that I can actually work with to the end. So for me, it was a story of trust. I remember saying to him, "This is a huge risk, but sometimes you just need to trust a little bit and I'm willing to do that." And that's my bad but that's just the type of person I am, I like to lead with loyalty rather than — as people think! — sneaky behavior. "
I just can't believe how wild the last few episodes of Survivor 46 have been. Four straight blindsides, epic meltdowns all over the board, and three hidden immunity idols not played. Will there be a fourth hidden immunity in play in the penultimate episode of the season? We'll have to wait and see.
Survivor season 46 episode 12 airs on Wednesday, May 15, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
