Survivor 46, episode 7 sneak peek: Venus panics after the last tribal council

The new sneak peek at Survivor 46, episode 7, titled "Episode Several," is here, and it's not a great look for Venus Vafa.

In the sneak peek, the players are back at camp on the night of their first post-merge tribal council. The group nearly unanimously voted out Moriah Gaynor, but one vote was thrown Venus's way. In fact, Jeff read Venus's name first, which clearly caused a bit of grief for Venus.

"My first tribal was mind-blowing," Venus says in the clip. "Seeing my name written down on a piece of parchment as the first vote was just terrible."

Back at camp, Venus, who we thought would be in danger in the merge, is trying to get to the bottom of who wrote her name down. After catching bad vibes from Soda since the beginning of the game, Venus believes Soda wrote her name down. She confronts Soda, but Soda denies writing Venus's name down. It's clear from the clip that Venus doesn't believe her.

The clip suggests more friction ahead for the former members of the Nami tribe. They have the advantage in the game right now. Siga just willingly voted out one of their own. If the Nami players could pull in a few Yanu votes, they would control the game, but I have a feeling Venus is about to blow the game up for somebody, possibly even herself. And, that's because we know that Soda didn't vote for Venus.

Who voted for Venus at tribal council in episode 6?

When Venus figures out what actually happened at the last tribal council, she's probably not going to be too excited about what happened. So, the groups all came together to target Moriah. Overall, it was a pretty safe vote. Moriah, after the tribal council with the Siga tribe right before the merge, was left on the outside of the vote to take out Jem, so she was clearly on the bottom.

As we learned before the vote, Venus was on the chopping block, too. Her name was getting thrown around, and she almost doomed her own game by trying to control things when she was told that she was safe.

Charlie was the one who voted for Venus, and it makes complete sense why he voted away from the rest of the tribe.

Moriah, smartly, played her Shot in the Dark. She didn't vote because she chose to take a chance at remaining in the game. Unfortunately, her Shot in the Dark revealed she was "not safe," so all votes for her would count.

Had she played her Shot in the Dark and was safe, all the votes for Moriah would not have counted. Then, the players would vote again with Moriah safe from elimination. So, Charlie, knowing the whole tribe was voting for Moriah, cast a vote on Venus to ensure Venus would go home if Moriah's Shot in the Dark worked.

It remains unclear if Charlie made that move on his own or if that was orchestrated by others in the game. At the end of the day, it was the perfect move to protect himself from being eliminated.

Survivor 46, episode 7 airs at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 10. The season finale is scheduled for May 22.
