Wendell Holland is headed back to the world of reality competition TV. Wendell has officially joined the cast of The GOAT, a new reality TV series hosted by Daniel Tosh coming to Prime Video later this spring.
According to a report from TV Line, Wendell will compete against other reality stars, including The Bachelor franchise's Grocery Store Joe Amabile and Tayshia Adams, The Circle's Joey Sasso, Love is Blind's Lauren Speed-Hamilton, and others. Wendell is the only Survivor star in the series.
The GOAT premieres on Prime Video on Thursday, May 9, 2024. New episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays on Prime Video through the finale on June 27. It's a little unclear how the show works, but it seems similar to Big Brother, Survivor, or The Challenge with a few twists.
"Nobody has dared to find out who is the actual best at being on a reality show," says host Daniel Tosh in the trailer. "So, we have scoured the Earth for the 14 greatest reality show contestants... that were available during our production window."
The 14 contestants will be living in the same house and competing against each other in challenges. The winner wins $200,000. Not bad, right?
The rest of the cast is rounded out by Jill Zarin of The Real Housewives of New York City, Kristen Doute of Vanderpump Rules, CJ Franco of FBoy Island, Reza Farahan of Shahs of Sunset, Jason Smith of Holiday Baking Championship, Justin Johnson/Alyssa Edwards of RuPaul's Drag Race, Da' Vonne Rogers of Big Brother, Paola Mayfield of 90 Day Fiance, and Teck Holmes of The Challenge. Looking at that list, I think Wendell has a great shot to win! He has more experience in competition and alliance-based shows than everyone else on the cast.
This is Wendell's third appearance on a competition reality series. Survivor fans will obviously remember Wendell was the winner and Sole Survivor of Survivor: Ghost Island, season 36 of the hit CBS series. Wendell actually tied with his alliance member, Domenick Abbate, after the jury vote. Laurel Johnson, who finished third, cast the tie-breaking vote for $1 million.
Holland also competed on Survivor: Winners at War, but he was eliminated just after the merge. He's also been featured on HGTV Smart Home and Hot Mess House.
Watch The GOAT on Prime Video starting on May 9!
