As Survivor 49 has been airing, many fans of the show have discovered that the season's cast has done fascinating things away from the show, but it has always been what happens on the show that matters the most for viewers.
With the Survivor 49 finale set to air on Wednesday, Dec. 17, that has left viewers wondering what they will see during the landmark episode. Since most of the anticipation is focused on who will become the Sole Survivor, most fans have overlooked the fact that the finale could feature another landmark moment. That is the case because it is possible that a very longstanding Survivor record could be broken during the season's final episode.
Savannah Louie could break a Survivor individual immunity challenge record

During the first 12 episodes of Survivor 49, Savannah Louie was seen winning three individual immunity challenges. No matter what happens from here, Louie should be very proud of that achievement and the fact that she lasted so long during the season.
As awesome as her run has already been, it is exciting to note that since Survivor 49's finale will feature two more individual immunity challenges. Louie may still surpass an important record. To date, the record for the most individual immunity challenge wins by a woman during a Survivor season is four. Five women from Survivor's past share that record.
Kelly Wiglesworth won four times during Survivor: Borneo, Jenna Morasca did the same thing during Survivor: The Amazon, and Kim Spradlin tied the record during Survivor: One World. Chrissy Hofbeck did the same thing during Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, and Rachel LaMont managed the impressive achievement during Survivor 47.
If Louie wins two more individual immunity challenges, she will surpass them all and stand alone as the record holder. If she only wins once, she will join that formidable group. While meeting the record would be a huge deal, Louiie still has the chance to tie with another group of Survivor legends.
To date, the record for the most individual immunity challenge wins during a single season is five. That record is held by six men who are tied for first place: Colby Donaldson, Tom Westman, Terry Deitz, Ozzy Lusth, Mike Holloway, and Brad Culpepper. If Louie wins the two remaining Survivor 49 immunity challenges, she will add her name to that impressive list.
As a huge Survivor fan, I would love to see Louie do exactly that.
