The premiere ofSurvivor 51was a jam-packed two hours that hadfans and new viewersalike ready for what the rest of the season has to give us. We’ve already seen drama, strategy, power dynamics, and spicy Jeff Probst take the screen and we can’t wait to see what comes next in the open era.
Of course, the players are the ones influencing the game the most so far this season, which is exactly how we like it! While some players definitely came out on top in the premiere episode, others might have to be worried about their game and where it’s going after the events of last week.

Top 4 power players after episode 1
Rob Antonson
After finding the Savu camp’s hidden immunity idol—not a Beware Advantage, just a straight up idol!—Rob holds a lot of power. He also seemed to be easy for people to connect with and made the smart move of distancing himself from Eric Macksoud, who he originally bonded with on the beach over both being from Rhode Island. If he doesn’t tell anyone about the idol, he’ll be a solid player that everyone trusts and comes to with information.
Jenna Doore
Though she was on the chopping block at the end of the premiere, her diversion skills masterfully not only took the eyes of the majority of her tribe off of her, but moved them to a different player, putting her entire alliance in jeopardy moving forward as well. Devin Way even went so far as to say that Jenna’s the kind of player who will make it to the end and win if they don’t get rid of her first. We’ll have to wait a couple of weeks to see if he’s right, but in my opinion, I don’t think he’s wrong.
Brady Booker
Brady has full control of the Toka tribe currently. Every single person wants to align with him because he’s a big physical player and extremely loyal to the people who are loyal to him. After Jenna told him about what Aaliyah Puglia said, she earned his trust and allegiance—at least for now. But he gives off “follow-the-leader, but the leader needs instructions” vibes and I could see the majority of the tribedoing what he sayswhile someone else whispers what to do in his ear. Either way, he’s going to be safe from being voted out at least for a little while.
Lewis Kelly
Though isolated from everyone and unable to make important connections for the first couple of days, Lewis gained a lot of respect and social relationship points in volunteering to leave the tribes behind. When he rejoins the game on the Toka tribe, I have no doubt he’ll easily be able to integrate into their comfortable conversations. And with all the welts on his hands and bruises on his ego, I think he’ll be able to get across to everyone his innocence of not securing the immunity idol on Exile Island. Though Devin may try to accuse him of being a liar as well in order to keep the attention off of him.
Top 4 players in danger going into episode 2
Eric Macksoud
The one player on the outs of the Savu tribe, despite the elimination switcheroo that happened at Toka this week, I don’t foresee that occurring at Savu now that they’ve won together and really had time to bond as social players. The fact that Eric does not make life around camp more relaxing shows that he’s likely going to be the first one to go upon a purple loss, even if he does well in challenges.
Angelica “Jelly” Loblack
As part of the “Helicopter Alliance” with Aaliyah, Devin, Ori Jean-Charles, and Sharonda Cox, Jelly put herself in danger by voting with Devin for Jenna this week. She is now publicly noted as someone going against Brady, which immediately puts a target on her back. She was also only one of two votes cast for Jenna, which means there are seven other playerscoming out of that Tribal Councilwho aren’t aligned with her and could leave her on the outs with Devin.
Devin Way
Devin not only went out of his way to spread rumors about Jenna to the entire tribe—that turned out to be untrue—but he also made her elimination (the first in the entire season) a hill to die on that might ultimately be the end of him. Yes, he stood with his ally, but he went against Brady in doing so. And even though they made it sound like bygones will be bygones between the two of them, they both want to lead the game and that’s not possible when they don’t align on who should be voted out. And based on this week’s elimination, Brady holds more power than Devin whose charisma is coming off as more and more dangerous.
Patt Cannaday
Patt was the whistle-blower of episode 1, which could put her in trouble. She informed Jenna of her name being tossed around, which got Jenna on her side, but calling out Aaliyah at Tribal Council as the other name could possibly make her tribe mates see her as an alliance liability. No one wants to confide in someone who will just spill the beans to everyone, in front of everyone. While I don’t know if it’s enough to send her home next week, I think she should be worried about being left out of strategic conversations and just being used as a number.
