They may have made their reality TV debuts in the United States, but The Traitors Canada is (potentially) about to have two Survivor alumni enter the castle for their latest season.
Reality TV News/Updates, a social media account dedicated to breaking news surrounding the world of reality television, has reported on Twitter, Instagram, and Bluesky that Omar Zaheer of Survivor 42 and Venus Vafa of Survivor 46 are rumored to be joining The Traitors Canada season 3 cast for the franchise’s third season.
This well-timed announcement comes just over two weeks after Survivor 50 was announced to have wrapped filming, which Jeff Probst himself announced via social media at the end of June. The landmark season, which was announced to be a cast full of returnees last year, notoriously cut many highly anticipated contestants from the final cast, Zaheer being among them.
While Zaheer and Vafa are some of the more notable cast members in this upcoming season, they are not the only seasoned reality TV players to be joining season 3. Big Brother Canada 10 winner Kevin Jacobs is also rumored to be joining the cast, as is Dom Gabriel of The Mole and Perfect Match fame.

Reality TV News/Updates has also stated that there are other reality TV veterans expected on the cast, but nothing has been confirmed as of now. As more information comes in, fans can expect more Canadian reality TV contestants to be announced in the upcoming days.
Survivor contestants have not been a part of The Traitors Canada cast since its first season, when Survivor 41 winner Erika Casupanan joined the series as Survivor’s sole representative in the inaugural cast. Her tenure itself was tragically short-lived, when she was murdered in Episode 2 during the first night.
If history is to repeat itself, our Survivor alumni should hope to be one of the lucky few to be selected to be a Traitor. Season 1 of The Traitors Canada premiered in October 2023, with Traitor Mike D’Urzo being crowned as the sole winner by the season’s finale in December of the same year.
The second season aired in September 2024, where once again a single Traitor won the whole prize pot, this time being Big Brother Canada 2’s third place finisher, Neda Kalantar. The show was renewed for a third season in March 2025.
Currently, the full cast and premiere date have not yet been confirmed. However, with rumors starting to circulate on the upcoming cast, it is likely that we can expect to hear some more rumored contestants over the next few weeks.
