Survivor Andaman Islands

Location: Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India

If you want to see CBS ratchet up the difficulty of surviving on television (I know there are plenty of you out there), it doesn’t get more tropical and muggy than India. Whereas everyone has a preconceived notion of the country based on its major cities and infrastructure on the mainland, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are as tropical a location as we’ve seen on Survivor.

Not only that, similar to what we have seen in Survivor: China and what I hope to see in an Okinawan season, Probst and the crew have centuries of history to explore with its locations, challenges, and rewards. Just imagine where winners can be swept away throughout the country that will highlight its culture, and just how different an experience it will be to players and viewers at home.

The only downside (or upside, if you’re a masochist) is that the climate may prove too much for the crew to feel comfortable in their planning and production. Medevac scares hurt the flow of a season if things fall out of control, and few want to see reward challenges for advantage at immunity challenges just to avoid wasting planned challenges.
