Survivor Solomon Islands

Location: Pavuvu Island region, Solomon Islands

It’s always great to see some of the more desolate regions of the world represented in Survivor, and the Solomon Islands are no exception. It would bring the reach of the show all the way to Papa New Guinea, solidifying the notion that I’d really like to see how far the show can go away from the United States as possible.

You don’t really get a great understanding of the region in any other medium so that it would be a truly eye-opening experience for locals, players, viewers, and the crew on the ground. The Pavuvu Islands are close to Vanuatu, and that was an incredible location in of itself.

It’s not as distinct a location as an economic impossibility like Greece or a potentially dangerous location like Jordan, but there are plenty of places in the islands that look like multiple Survivor areas of the past. It can take place along rivers and heavy forest like China or on the sands like most tropical locations. They can even do both!
