So where in the world will we get to see Jeff Probst (and all of the returning castaways) for the upcoming season of Survivor, known as Game Changers?

Survivor films all over the world. In fact, the show hasn’t visited Europe or Antarctica, and that’s it. (We know why Antarctica won’t happen, either.) But, with the advent of special subtitles to seasons instead of just giving a location, it’s sometimes tough to win at everyone’s favorite game, Where in the World is Jeff Probst?

(Wait, that’s not your favorite game?)

Anyway, with Survivor: Game Changers just about a month away from release, there’s no time like the present to dig deep into where we’ll see some great returnees duke it out for the chance to win the million-dollar prize and, presumably, change the game. However, Game Changers doesn’t really say much.

However, the official logo for the season has already become the official profile picture of Survivor on Twitter, and if you look closely, you can see “Mamanuca Islands”. Where are these islands, then?

Turns out they’re part of Fiji, and according to the country’s official tourism website, they’re primarily resort islands. That works nicely for housing all the crew. There are about 20 islands in the Mamanuca chain.

However, that same website just so happens to mention Survivor: Fiji as well. The fourteenth season aired in 2007, and the show didn’t return there for quite some time. (It’s a bit sad, really, since Gabon made the switch to HD, and Fiji’s absolutely stunning.) Additionally, that season actually filmed on a different island, Vanua Levu, not the Mamanucas.

Actually, Survivor didn’t make it back to Fiji until none other than last season, Millennials vs. Gen X. At the time, the players actually had to evacuate while filming was taking place, due to a cyclone. However, it doesn’t appear as though Game Changers suffered from the same misfortune.

In other words, there will be plenty of stunning island views to take in once more in between the scheming, plotting, and backstabbing we fully expect from this returning cast.
