When only 20 players can get invited to an all-star season like Survivor Game Changers, there are bound to be some hurt feelings by those excluded.

There are plenty of reasons why some were picked for Survivor Game Changers over others. Some may not be available to leave the United States and participate in an island challenge for a couple of years. Others may not want to return for up to 39 days of general unpleasantness. Some just might not be able to take the time off work.

On Wednesday, we received the official word from CBS on who is set to play in Survivor Game Changers. Although we’ve “known” for months just who would be headed to the Mamanuca Islands for Season 34, that doesn’t mean that former and current players could be outright in their dialogue surrounding the casting news until it was official!

Many of the players are outright supportive of the entire Survivor Game Changers cast.

Of course, there was also some valid criticisms facing the casting decisions behind Survivor Game Changers. It would be interesting to see a greater dynamic for all people of color, not just the women. (Although, Ozzy originated from the “Latino” tribe from Survivor Cook Islands)

As indicated in the headline, for some of the people who were not chosen, the salt floweth freely. Some reactions were justified based on Jeff Probst’s comments, but others couldn’t just help themselves to a bowl of snark regardless.

We even had current cast members throw shade at players who they thought weren’t Game Changer-worthy. Of course, sensible Survivor people clapped back right away. Never doubt the two-time Queen of the game!

Also, we had a defense for players like Sierra Dawn Thomas.
