Perhaps the biggest celebration of love on the calendar, we look at Survivor moments that celebrate love for Valentine’s Day.

It’s hard to argue love and affection aren’t intrinsically linked to Survivor. Not only have we seen plenty of showmances blossom over the years, in addition to those getting a bit too cuddly when sleeping beside each other in the shelter “for warmth,” we’ve had two players fall in love and one propose to the other before the winner was even announced!

That’s why, to burn some time as we inch closer and closer towards Survivor Game Changers, we at Surviving Tribal decided to embrace the Survivor Valentine’s Day celebrations with a look at what some of our favorite players are up to today. In addition, we also have a few looks at the truest of romances the show has seen.

For some who played Survivor, Valentine’s Day is just another day to look at the negative side of things.

Others showed off their Valentine’s Day love in a number of odd fashions. From getting a new door to sharing the love with fans, to showing that love goes beyond human conventions, some Survivor players shared some interesting views today.

The way Survivor is edited, we don’t really get to see 100% how everyone works and operates as a person. Today, we had a few laughs from some unsuspecting players.

Meanwhile, other Survivor players reminded us that it’s not just about the ones we love, but from the love of others, as well. Ethan Zohn and his lovely wife, Lisa, highlighted this most with their award for helping refugees lead a better life.

We even have a recent “romantic” coupling based on players from the same season, with Zeke Smith showing off the ring he used to “propose” to Hannah Shapiro.

A balanced approach to the Boston Rob + Amber evolution from castaways to lovers, to becoming engaged, does not exist in YouTube without it being an embarrassing music video (which cuts into hearing people talk on the show. Here’s the best thing we can find that fits into the Survivor Valentine’s Day theme.

Finally, we can’t wish you all a happy Valentine’s Day without the purest, most innocent moment in romantic Survivor history. That’s right, I’m talking about the (un)requited love between Billy Garcia and Candice Cody.
