Having succumbed to several self-proclaimed showmances in previous seasons, Andrea Boehlke will go with the ladies for Survivor Game Changers.

For Andrea Boehlke, she’s hoping the third time’s the charm. She’s been on Survivor twice prior to her upcoming appearance in Survivor Game Changers, and with her current career as a host for People Now, who knows if this will be her last. With that in mind, she’s taking this season extra seriously.

She spoke to Entertainment Weekly as part of the pre-season slate of interviews, making it clear that she will look to alliances with strong females to buck the trend she had on Survivor Redemption Island and Survivor Caramoan.

"I think I’m going to be all about the girls this season. My past two seasons, I kind of got in trouble with the whole showmance situations, didn’t really work out for me. And there are a lot of strong, fun women out here that I think I would really get along with. Cirie? I mean, Cirie is a goddess. I would love it if Cirie would welcome me into her girl alliance. You have the two Ciera/Sierras who are awesome. I think I can really bond with these people, and I think it’s my time to do the girl thing."

This is actually in stark contrast to the assessment we had of Andrea Boehlke going into Survivor Game Changers, which had a focus on possible alliances with Zeke Smith and Ozzy Lusth. However, as it shows in this interview, her approachability will make her an option with anybody she needs and will focus on a middle-of-the-road approach that splits the experience gained in her two previous seasons.

That said, it would be great to see Andrea Boehlke, Cirie Fields, Ciera Eastin and Sierra Dawn Thomas work together at some point in the season. A new Black Widow Brigade may be too much of a target on each of these women’s backs, so who knows if that will come to fruition.

Of course, these interviews come ahead of the game, too, meaning Andrea doesn’t know at the time who she’ll be with. However, seeing how she, Sierra, and Cirie happen to be on the Nuku Tribe, it’s likelier than ever that this formation can be pulled off.

Survivor Game Changers debuts with a two-hour episode, titled “The Stakes Have Been Raised,” on March 8 at 8 PM ET. Canadian viewers can watch a behind-the-scenes primer 30 minutes earlier on Global with the help of ET Canada.
