With almost 500 players having competed over the years, there are a ton of favorite memories Survivor players have been sharing ahead of Episode 500.

Survivor has been on the air for 17 years. Over that remarkable amount of time, the show has aired 499 episodes over 33 completed seasons, with the debut of Survivor Game Changers marking Episode 500. CBS has been asking players and fans alike what their favorite memories of the show are, and for the players, there is an incredible diversity in what they view as favorite moments.

For example, some former players are true students of the game. Chris Hammons, who recently competed in Survivor Millennials vs. Gen X, marked his favorite memory being an oddity from Survivor Fiji. It appears as though this is the only time that Jeff does not declare, “I’ll read the votes.” Many seasoned, hardcore fans didn’t even know about that one!

Some players had their favorite moments come in recent seasons. Survivor Cambodia offered up a huge one when Kelley Wentworth played an idol to negate nine straight votes against her, resulting in Savage’s two votes being enough to knock him out. It was Michaela’s favorite, as well as Savage’s, himself!

There are players who are waiting around for Survivor Game Changers to air that are on that season, willing to share their favorite #Survivor500 moments in the time being. Former almost winner, Aubry Bracco, went with hilarity, reminding people that Ozzy once made a fake idol with “just a f—–g stick” and got it played at tribal council.

Meanwhile, old school Survivor players cemented the foundation for what would be the greatest reality gaming show of all time. Gervase from the first season (and Blood vs. Water) kept some photos from back in the day to share on his Twitter timeline. Jed Hildebrand offered his favorite being Ian’s huge moment from Survivor Palau. Meanwhile, Grethen Cordy from Survivor Borneo represented the biggest shift in the game twice; by being the first public alliance-led vote, and created the idea for using buffs to wear as a top.

Julie Berry and Ami Cusack from Survivor Vanuatu (the latter was also on Survivor Micronesia) both danced their hearts out to the opening theme for the show, demonstrating how even the players are aware of the excellence of that song.

Tony Vlachos, winner of Survivor Cagayan and Survivor Game Changers contestant, offered up the most villainous moment of the show’s history as his favorite; Jonny Fairplay setting up a lie about a dead grandma from a loved one’s visit. Teresa Cooper from Survivor Africa is in agreement, as well.

Finally, we end with Figgy of the “Figg Tayles” showmance from Survivor Millennials vs. Gen X offering up a video of a player getting clotheslined by a clothesline, as well as Jason from Survivor Kaoh Rong trolling the world with banana etiquette and a chicken he calls Mark. Don’t be fooled!
