Down to 18 castaways with an early tribe-swap looming on Survivor: Game Changers, power rankings for the remaining players after episode 1.

Survivor has finally returned to us. The premiere for Game Changers was a bit of a rollercoaster in terms of drama, editing, and just about any other aspect that you want to pick apart. What resulted was an ultimately predictable first boot and then a highly tense and dramatic second boot with one of the favorites going home. Courteous spoiler alert from here on out

No matter how many times that Jeff Probst wanted to remind us that Ciera Eastin voted out her own mom, she was a predictable first player to go. She seemed in over her head in terms of strategy from the jump and that was proven to be true. Tony Vlachos, however, tried to challenge The Queen and felt the wrath of her reign. Sandra Diaz-Twine came at him with all her two-time winner might and beat him into submission—and off of Game Changers.

Much of the focus of the second hour of the episode was spent on the Sandra vs. Tony feud. However, the full scope of the premiere showed fans a great deal about how these now 18 remaining castaways are going to approach this season and the game. For better or worse, seed were planted and tones were set.

But now the task at hand is figuring out who’s in the best position and who falls in behind them. Though the long-term outcome factors into that, for the purpose of our Survivor: Game Changers Power Rankings, the chief concern is a player’s standing in the game after six days and in the immediate future. With that in mind, let’s take a look at how the castaways rank against one another, starting with a surprise in the bottom-three.
