Next week’s episode of Survivor: Game Changers appears like it will belong to Nuku, at least when it comes to showing life at camp.

Survivor: Game Changers‘ premiere mostly showed the Mana tribe when it came to camp life. Can we really blame the show, though? First, it had Tony, and when the editors likely saw that he would be gone by the end of the double premiere, why not focus on him as much as possible? It’s quite logical, in its own way. That’s enough edit reading of the past, though. Let’s turn our eyes to the future.

Check out the promo below for episode 3, “Survivor Jackpot.”

In the great lexicon of Things Jeff Probst Says During Every Season of Survivor, “Drop your buffs” may be the most delicious sentence of them all. But that’s just a personal opinion.

Generally speaking, it’s not that much different than the preview we saw at the end of the premiere. However, it does emphasize how “cutthroat” and “ruthless” this season has already been. Granted, this is a returnee season. We’re honestly not sure how the season could have turned out to be a nicer one.

However, what we see of camp life is completely from Nuku. Survivor has pretty effectively hidden the results of the entire tribal shuffle from us. Of the 18 players, 12 of them have unknown affiliations after the shuffle. As we noted in our look at the next episode’s synopsis, that focuses almost all on Nuku as well. J.T.’s the one who goes Idol hunting.

Additionally, we do know that there’s something hidden at Nuku. As we’ve speculated, it could be a full-blown Idol, which would let J.T. have some power on a new Nuku tribe that appears to be packed with some already-warmed-up and ready-to-play members from the old Mana tribe. He is on the outs, and the obvious Idol hunting probably won’t help his chances.

Perhaps that’s why he catches the goat that we see in the preview. Food can go a long way in mending some broken fences, after all, but then again, Nuku already has fishing kit. A goat might not be enough to save him.
