Alas, it looks like Survivor: Game Changers will keep most of the events of this week’s episode close to the chest, if these photos are any indication.

Now that the weekend is drawing to a close, the attention of Survivor  fans has (mostly) turned to the next episode of Game Changers. After all, there were some very interesting things to note from the rather large premiere, but the game continues even without Tony and Ciera. Unfortunately, much of the promotion for this week’s episode, “Survivor  Jackpot,” focuses on one thing and one thing only: the impending tribal shuffle.

However, CBS has posted a few photos, and we’ll use them to talk a little bit about what may be coming for the 18 remaining players.

"“Survivor Jackpot” – Jeff Probst hands out the new buffs to Sierra Dawn-Thomas, Cirie Fields, Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth, Debbie Wanner, Brad Culpepper, Tai Trang, James “J.T” Thomas, Andrea Boehlke, Sarah Lacina and Zeke Smith on the third episode of SURVIVOR: Game Changers, airing Wednesday, March 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Cirie could stand to benefit very much from this little switcheroo. Remember, she started the game out with Ozzy on the same tribe. The premiere made sure to note that things haven’t necessarily changed from the last time they were on in the game together. In fact, Ozzy pointedly said that he still finds her quite dangerous.

Then again, the game has a way of keeping things interesting, even during random draws like this one.

Does anyone actually look excited about this on Mana? Maybe Caleb, just a bit, since he may not have to suffer defeat for the third challenge in a row. Aubry also looks intrigued about what’s going to go down. Everyone else appears to be in a state of surprise or just prepared to handle whatever may come.

Speaking of Caleb, he did lose a primary ally in Tony on last week’s episode. However, he does have a social game going for himself. We know he either remains on Mana or goes to the third tribe, which reportedly has the name Tavua. As we also noted in that same article, he’ll have to handle a lot of former Nuku players. Almost all of the current Mana eight — with the exceptions of Caleb, Hali, and Troyzan — will go to Nuku.

That may help him, though. He was on the right side of the numbers for the Tony vote, but that may not have lasted much longer. He’s a strong player, physically, but that didn’t save Tony, did it?

The same’s true of Aubry. She, too, mostly seemed to be on the Tony side of things on the old Mana. She could easily provide plenty of information about how the game’s been going to the rest of the other players, who only have the identities of the two eliminated players to go on. That could make her very appealing as an ally to someone like Andrea, Cirie, Sarah, or Zeke.

So, how does anyone else aside from maybe Cirie on the old Nuku benefit from this? The easy answer is that they all have chances to make inroads with at least a few new players. Additionally, connections like Sierra, Ozzy, and Brad could easily be split up, and that may end up as a benefit as well. Nuku hasn’t had an evening visit with Jeff Probst at Tribal Council just yet. Let’s face it, Tribal Council often solidifies alliances far more than all the handshakes in the world ever could.
