With 17 players now remaining, how dow they stack up against one another in our Survivor Game Changers Power Rankings following episode 3?

That things would change in episode 3 of Survivor Game Changers was a given. The preview following the two-hour premiere (and pre-season interviews) gave away the ensuing tribe swap, and the move to three tribes of six players. However, the question was how that would affect the games of the remaining castaways.

For Caleb Reynolds, it’s safe to say that it affected his game negatively. After being medically evacuated on Day 9 in his first time playing on Kaoh Rong, Caleb again departed on Day 9, but this time on the wrong end of a 5-1 vote on the new Mana tribe. Even worse, he was ousted because his best friend on Survivor, Tai Trang, joined the majority and turned on him.

With that, a heated debate over whether or not to kill a goat or not and an idol being hidden at the Immunity Challenge, episode 3 was certainly one that shook things up for a number of players. So what then are the results in regards to who’s in power in this game? Let’s take a look through our Survivor Game Changers Power Rankings after episode 3.

17. Sandra Diaz-Twine (16)

How much longer will the “Queen stay Queen” should be the question everyone’s asking. Sandra’s perfect 2-for-2 record when playing Survivor is in more jeopardy than ever before. I was already skeptical of her outlook after she played far too aggressively in the premiere to go head-to-head with Tony, even if she won that battle and got the Cagayan winner voted out. Now she also has the edit and storyline working against her. The whole incident involving killing the goat made her look more villainous than ever before. Now she’s in a position where she’s out of her normal course of action as a strategist and is being cast in a negative light. It’d be a shock if she lasts much longer.

16. J.T. Thomas (5)

Even as a former winner, I thought J.T. could be in a potentially good spot heading to his new tribe, which ended up being new Nuku. Unfortunately for him, there’s an argument to be made that he should rank last in the post-episode 3 Power Rankings. Not only did even he clearly recognize that he’s on the outside of the other five members of his tribe, but then made it even more apparent by leaving the group in the ocean while he went to go hunt for an idol back on the beach. The only reason he ranks ahead of Sandra is because of the goat incident. But don’t let that lead you to believe that he’s remotely in a good spot right now.
