Is there actually a twist in Survivor: Game Changers’ next episode beyond what we already knew about, or is this promo just trying to imply that’s the case?

Promotions and TV spots really want you to watch whatever show it is that they’re throwing at you. Survivor: Game Changers is no different in its attempts to engage more fans, particularly since it appears as though ratings haven’t been as high has they have in previous years. That means it’s time for another mysterious promo.

These 30 seconds of footage appeared on the official Survivor YouTube channel late Friday night.

From the wording alone, it appears as though the two Tribal Councils won’t actually end up as the twist that’s being hyped. Granted, it’s not much of a twist anymore so much as an expected beat of Survivor. With two tribes automatically going instead of just one, the chance for interesting things to come out at Tribal Council doubles. Besides, why include footage of Aubry dubbing the twist “insane?” No, it seems too simple, and Survivor these days is anything but simple.

The question then becomes: what is the twist?

Could it be that earlier speculation that the second challenge seen in photos is a reward was wrong? That doesn’t seem right, since the photos clearly suggest multiple people participate. In other words, it likely isn’t an individual immunity challenge.

Perhaps the reward itself is a twist somehow. However, it could ultimately be that the twist is simply the double vote. However, from this promo alone, it also appears as though Mana may be in hot water again. Those brief clips of Tai running around camp suggest that he may very well be searching for an idol, which may mean that Mana loses again. That’s pure speculation, of course, and you may very well read something different into it than we here at Surviving Tribal do.
