She’s relatively fine now, but Survivor Game Changers’ Hali Ford had an accident that reminds us how imperative it is to wear your seatbelt at all times.

Survivor Game Changers has been a welcome escape each week since episode 1 aired earlier this March, but that’s all it truly is; an escape. We all need to do better to treasure the life we have outside of our gathering spot we all share each week because, in an instant, it can all be over. Hali Ford from Survivor Game Changers has shown a firsthand account of how life can flash before your eyes, and thankfully, she’s alright now.

Hali doesn’t use Twitter all that much, but when she does, it’s quite impactful.

Unfortunately, it appears as though Hali Ford learned the hard way that “seatbelts are actually a good thing” when she was a passenger in a vehicular accident. In this case, the seatbelt was the true game changer for Hali, as without it, that crack in the front windshield may have been a lot more severe.

Of course, there is a lot of trauma that comes with being involved in an accident where airbags are deployed, but considering just how life-threatening the situation could have been, Hali escaped with relatively few cuts and bruises to her face.

It’s so imperative that you wear your seatbelt whenever you’re in a moving vehicle. The Survivor community has already suffered a loss due to a vehicular accident, with Survivor Australian Outback winner Tina Wesson losing a son (and Survivor Blood vs. Water player Katie Collins losing a brother), Taylor Lee Collins, in a crash.

More than half the people in the United States who have died due to vehicular crashes did not wear a seatbelt, according to the CDC, so take it from both them and Hali Ford; always buckle up! You can see Hali currently on Survivor Game Changers, as she is still in the game ahead of episode 4, “The Tables Have Turned.”
