Survivor Game Changers Episode 4: Who Won’t Be Surviving Tribal?
With a crazy twist that’s never happened in series history, Survivor Game Changers episode 4 will have everyone guessing who’s surviving tribal council.
Welcome to the third ever installation of “Surviving Tribal,” where we look at the field of hopefuls who aim to be one of the sixteen that will be surviving tribal council each Wednesday night. There are several factors at play that make it easier to nail down who is likely to go home each night. I make fake betting odds each week to offer up to my fellow writers, as they make wagers from their virtual $500 wallet that they started Survivor Game Changers with. The person with the most money at the end of the season wins pride and bragging rights.
In week one, both Cheryl and I made money on a Ciera Eastin bet, as she was the very first boot of the season. In week two (episode 3 per the season rundown), Cody and Cheryl both made big money on Caleb Reynolds getting voted out. I thought that whatever tribe he was on would be foolish to have a strong player voted out. Of course, a strong and smarter player, Brad Culpepper, was about the only person who could sell it well enough to actually happen!
This week will see two tribes vote out one player in a Survivor first. Survivor Game Changers seems to be living up to its name, so it’s only fair that the betting odds reflect the various twists and turns ahead.
J.T Thomas – 3/2 (Cody: $30, Daniel: $25)
J.T. remains the odd man out on Nuku, and this newest tribe versus tribe twist is virtually set up to take out the strongest players on opposing tribes. Should Nuku be on the chopping block, J.T.’s preview edit of him trying to take out Sandra should suggest a possible division of the vote, especially with him trying to misdirect votes towards him. Why else would he be scrambling?
Sandra Diaz-Twine – 2/1 (Cody: $60)
Circling back to J.T., sensing he may be in the minority, he might try to convince someone on Nuku that Sandra is big enough of a social threat to take out now. If he votes for her in a situation where two tribes of six vote for one player, his switch could take her out and level the playing field. Either way, Sandra’s the Queen right now, but sits on a very precarious throne.
Cirie Fields – 3/1
Cirie has been hinting at war with Ozzy since the beginning, and if there’s any way to stir up the pot, it’s in a situation where it’s impossible to know who’s surviving tribal council ahead of time. If Tavua is in a position where names are being thrown out, Cirie and Ozzy’s friction is cause for concern for the both of them.
Ozzy Lusth – 3/1 (Cheryl: $20)
In a new tribe that hasn’t quite been settled in yet, there would be no way that Ozzy would get voted out so far away from the merge. However, with another tribe potentially throwing votes his way, Cirie can find a way to antagonize Ozzy and produce something that makes him worthy of having a target on his back.

Hali Ford – 4/1
Future partnerships may be as big an issue for two tribes as it is in any other tribal council. Hali has proven herself capable of defending herself, shares a tattoo with Sierra as part of the Dirty 30, and she’s one of the few old Mana players that can seemingly partner up and stay loyal.
Malcolm Freberg – 4/1 (Cody: $60, Daniel: $115)
Circling back to the threats approach, Malcolm needs to be careful if he is to be surviving tribal council tonight. Not only does he have plenty of connections with other castaways, he’s a likable, strong, charismatic, smart alec of a player. If you can take out a jury threat before the jury is even in play, you shoot your shot.
Michaela Bradshaw – 5/1
When it comes to targeting players to avoid idols, Michaela may be your best bet. She’s made it clear she’s on Survivor Game Changers because of her strength, and she lays all her cards out on the table. Old Mana players may know she wouldn’t be handed an idol, but she can make a tribe strong with her play, making her a possible target from another tribe.
Aubry Bracco – 6/1
Aubry had been quite invisible so far this season, putting herself on the wrong side of partnerships and groups. However, once more of her Kaoh Rong castaways are thrown into the pot of tribal council voting candidates, there is strength in numbers. Oddly enough, she’s the strongest of the remaining castaways from her original season, and the most strategic. That, alone, is enough to make her a target.
Jeff Varner – 6/1 (Cheryl: $20)
So far, Jeff Varner has played in the middle of the road all season. He’s had his hand halfway in the cookie jar, not sure whether or not to take the cookie. While he may stick with Sandra, putting himself out there may be enough to show off how much of a social threat he is.
Tai Trang – 6/1 (Cheryl: $20)
In the preview for tonight’s episode, Tai promised there would be fireworks at tribal council. Whether or not that’s concerning a new hidden immunity idol, reaction to the voting twist itself or something else entirely shows that Tai is in the middle of a ruckus. That’s enough to hedge concern for his safety in this game.
Debbie Wanner – 6/1
Part of the Kaoh Rong three that remain, it’s enough to put a target on her back. Plenty of people know Debbie is wacky and sharp as a whip, and that she will stay loyal to her team. In a season where voting blocs trump alliances, her honesty may prove to be a weakness.
Brad Culpepper – 6/1 (Daniel: $25)
Next: Survivor Athletes: Ranking The Best To Play The Game
With new Mana diminished in numbers, Brad Culpepper remains the biggest threat to other tribes. It would be clear that someone on Mana is likable enough to stay and convince others to vote against their best interests, and Brad is the only one that fits the bill. He’s too good to stay if he’s facing off against your tribe.
Zeke Smith – 7/1
Zeke’s in an odd position. He’s well in with the strongest players and in a placement where he’s not the target of attention. People know he’s a game changer but don’t know why yet. It could be a case of not wanting to find out if he’s targeted now.
Andrea Boehlke – 8/1
Andrea is a charm around camp, whenever she’s at camp. Can someone please find the nearest cameraperson and get her thoughts on this season? She’s only onscreen if she’s name-dropping the episode title or if she’s the target of Troyzan’s ire for humoring him. Should idol shenanigans be in play, who knows what could happen?
Sarah Lacina – 10/1
Sarah is in the pocket of Cirie, hasn’t been targeted by anyone, has been in the majority and with old Nuku people the entire time, and knows not to rock the boat when put in spotlight positions. Sarah shouldn’t be going home this week. Look at just how well hidden she is above!
Sierra Dawn-Thomas – 10/1
Since getting her legacy advantage and showing up a bit at the last tribal council, Sierra has not been central to the story. However, with such prominence on her advantage and the ability to use it both at the merge and late after it, the odd edit strategy suggests she’s going to lay low for a while. As in, beyond this episode.
Troyzan Robertson – 20/1
Troyzan has an idol. He knows he’s likely the only one with an idol at this point unless he second-guessed everyone else at other immunity challenges. If he feels he’s going to be voted out, he’s shown he’s going to use the idol. Troyzan has an idol.
This is wasted money, barring something so crazy popping up that shakes the foundation of the show as we know it.
Survivor Game Changers Episode 4 Money Totals
