It appears that Survivor: Game Changers will have two more challenges in next week’s episode, but which is which, and who will participate?

As Survivor: Game Changers continues after that huge elimination, it seems like it’s already time to look ahead to next week’s episode. A bevy of new photos have appeared on CBS’ press page for the show. As is our custom, we’ll pluck a few from here, a few from there, and try and discern what exactly we’re seeing.

We’ll start with the photos on the second page, though, since the fact that they’re buried a bit further back suggests they were uploaded first. That is, they probably show the reward challenge.

Before we get to proper challenge analysis, though, Tavua’s shock in this photo is rather obvious, and we suspect Jeff Probst will tell Tavua about the twist. Someone will almost certainly have a confessional detailing how picking someone off of Mana should have been a slam dunk for Nuku. How long will it take for someone to suspect idol shenanigans played a part in Malcolm’s elimination?

That’s pretty clearly not J.T., but okay. Presumably there’s some digging involved for balls here at the points marked by flags. Why do we say balls?

That appears to be a bag off to Aubry’s left. It appears players will have to go over obstacles while balancing a ball on the rounded part of that apparatus, which isn’t that different than episode 4’s reward challenge.

So does the hooking portion of the challenge precede the digging? That seems accurate, but what are they trying to snag? The bag itself? Then what’s the digging for?

Here’s Andrea showing off the second portion of the balancing aspect. Who exactly is sitting out for Tavua? They’re the only tribe that has more than five people. With Zeke standing on the platform and Ozzy shown in this photo, it seems that we’re being led to conclude Troyzan sits out of this challenge. We suppose Tavua doesn’t want to lose another reward, if that’s indeed what this is.

Now we get to the more complicated of the two challenges, which makes us think that it’s the immunity challenge.

Also, Jeff Probst standing next to the Immunity Idols certainly doesn’t hurt in terms of confirmation. Thanks, Probst!

We put this one full-size, since it shows us Cirie will sit out of the challenge. That’s everyone else on Tavua, after all. Presumably the tribes will start by having to get up and over this obstacle.

They’ll then need to push this block over to provide a boost for one person to reach up and presumably get a key. If you look closely, you’ll see that there’s a spiral; sometimes Survivor opts to have players spin the key around to get it as opposed to a series of knots.

"“Dirty Deed” – Jeff Varner, Aubry Bracco, Michaela Bradshaw, James “J.T” Thomas and Sandra Diaz-Twine on the fifth episode of SURVIVOR: Game Changers, airing Wednesday, March 29 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Varner and Michaela leaning over this box makes us think that they require a key.

In the box, players will find sandbags that they’ll need to transport over a balance beam. If you look to the left in this photo, you’ll see Tavua pulling the bags out of their own crate. Meanwhile, it looks like Nuku will have something of a lead. We can conclude that the three tribes are relatively even going into the key-retrieval portion of the challenge, since you can see J.T., Sierra, and Sarah all going for the key a couple of photos up.

So, what are those sandbags for?

Survivor slingshots are back! Presumably, the final portion requires players to hit a certain number of targets to win immunity.

Other than that, though, we don’t have a good idea of what will go on at the three camps, save for one lonely photo of Troyzan.

That’s fishing gear, though. Is he trying to usurp Ozzy’s role as king of fishing? How long will that last? Will he need to play his hidden immunity idol should Tavua lose? That would mean two Tribal Councils in a row where idols played a part.

What do you see in these photos of Survivor: Game Changers? What is the “Dirty Deed” that will name this episode? The easy answer is J.T.’s duplicity at the double Tribal from episode 4. However, nothing is certain on this season.
